Our survey this issue is related to the things said about us (well about me) by Necromancer Games, as described in the separate piece I wrote on the subject elsewhere in this issue. If you haven't read that article, then I'd suggest you do so now, because otherwise this feedback won't make much sense.

Basically, we felt that rather than telling the world what we thought of events, it made more sense to simply describe what had happened, and then ask you guys what you thought.

Having read my description of the process we went through to create the original scenario inflation article, do you think that we treated the companies concerned fairly?

Yes, you treated them fairly.

No, you treated them unfairly.

Do you feel that there was any element of trickery or deception in how we went about getting the responses?

Yes, I think there was trickery or deception involved.

No, I think there was no trickery or deception involved.

Given that we only sent a single email to Necromancer Games asking if they would care to give us a comment, and given that they responded to that mail in 21 minutes, was if fair for them to say: "He kept pestering me so I responded"?

Yes, I think it is fair for a professional company to describe a single email requesting a comment as "pestering".

No, my understanding of the word pestering implies multiple, repeated requests for something, so I think it was *unfair* for them to say that you "pestered" them.

Do you think it was fair for Necromancer Games to suggest that I had secretly shown their response to John Nephew of Atlas Games ahead of publication?

Yes, it was fair, because after all, it was something that could have happened.

No, it was not fair to accuse both yourselves and John Nephew of unethical, dishonest behaviour when there was no reason to suggest that this had occurred.

Do you think Necromancer Games should have apologised and retracted their statements when asked (via email) by us to do so?

Yes, I think they should have apologised and retracted the statements.

No, I think there was no reason why they should have done so.
