First impressions
Nice cover, the decision to use A5 format is an interesting one. Please note,
this is not a complete game, it is a sourcebook for use with STOCS Lite RPG
system. However, since this book is mostly background it is fairly generic and
can be used with any system.
Maji is written by another small press publisher, also from Ireland. Maji tells the
story of mans fight against the alien invaders, this is a sourcebook that forms
part of their Phase 1 campaign.
I like the ideas these people present, but I find it a shame that this game is set
in the USA, since I would expect a company to try to fit it into their own country
- but I guess a modern day game set in the British Isles couldn't be interesting.
The background information is well done and details Majestic-12 the
organisation into which the PC's fight or join with. Plenty of old UFO projects
are talked about and how they interact with the game.
Overall, I find this game well thought out and pretty generic so you can adapt it
to any system you like.
Overall Rating: 4/5.
