Simian: The Swinging

Have you ever noticed anything strange about the people around you? Some who seem too large, too small, too hairy to be normal? Ever seen what looked like... a *tail*? Perhaps you have had a glimpse of the world behind this world. The world of Simian: The Swinging.

History

Many years ago, Man lived peacefully alongside his cousins. But then, the humans decided they were too good for the trees and jungles and all that, so they moved out and built cities. This started what's known as the Rift.

Man became unlike the others. He wore pants and took middle class jobs. Man decided the cities weren't enough for him, and started to take the forests too -- the trees were felled to make houses and grazing land. Without the trees, there were no bananas. And so the Hunger began.

The Simians have been forced to enter human society, much as the humans took over the forests. They live incognito, wearing pants and taking their own middle class jobs. It was necessary, to feed the Hunger. But the facade of humanity must be maintained -- if it falls away, the Simians will be zooed, or worse.

Some day, the Rift will be sealed, and Man can rejoin the clans between the trees. They do not remember where they came from, but until the day they are ready to come back to the trees, you must never forget. Never forget the Swinging.
