Dear Doctor Bubba,
I have always prided myself on being a method roleplayer. I draw together
facets of being, motivations, actions, patterns of speech and ways of
gesturing to create a fully-fleshed, three-dimensional character that - I feel -
makes the roleplaying experience far more enjoyable and meaningful for all.
Last Saturday I was participating in a session of Warhammer Fantasy
Roleplay, deeply immersed in my portrayal of Fat Gregor, a thief turned
charlatan, warm-hearted but with a cunning streak, when he was unexpectedly
shot straight through with a crossbow bolt.
I reached deep within myself seeking what would be this character's, this
person's, natural and spontaneous reaction, and came up with:
"I've been fucking kebabbed!"
I felt that this was one of my finest roleplaying moments, but all the other
people at the session could do was pour scorn, pointing out that kebabs are
"kindof oriental" and that the Empire is "kindof German".
Should I persist with what is obviously a group of "roll-players" or go in search
of a group who can more fully appreciate my talents?
Soulshine
You're a cunt.
