Our official stance on the subject is that the average litter of semi-feral pigs could VERY easily obtain hundreds (if not thousands) of gold pieces and quite possibly a magic ring. I mean who would suspect them? They could walk straight into a place, nab the goods and be out before anyone knew what was happening. So in general I think that your suggestion that pigs having gold as a bad thing is an ignorant assumption at best.

In so far as your "inflation" theory goes we really don't see this happening. The awarding of treasure and use of prestige classes by a DM is purely at his/her/its discretion. If the DM chooses to cheat the players out of their hard earned rewards or limit their class choices for the elusive goal of "game balance" then these are choices the DM may make. And if players choose to attend a more lucrative gaming session where their efforts are better appreciated that is theirs.

Plus every game designer spends twos of hours designing and playtesting their products to ensure complete compatibility with existing materials. Take this excerpt from our soon to be released official d20 Keckbootean Death Knight prestige class:
